The Vecchione / Erdahl Duo, Rolf Erdahl, double
bass, and Carrie Vecchione, oboe, will present 35 programs at seven Twin Cities
area senior residences in 2010-11, free and open to the public, supported by an MRAC Arts Learning Grant. In July they
present "Intro to the Orchestra" at Highview Hills by Walker in Lakeville, Friday, July 9, 2:00 PM;
at Edina Care and Rehabilitation Center, Thursday, July 22, 10:00 PM; and at Lyngblomsten, Friday,
July 30, 2:30 PM. This activity funded, in part, by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund as appropriated
by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
Krista Palmquist, soprano will be singing in the Winona Beethoven
Festival Chorale, under the direction of Dale Warland, as part of the Minnesota Beethoven Festival in Winona, MN.
The chorale will be giving concerts Saturday, July 10 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, July 11 at 3 PM.
Many
other great events will be going on that week as well, including concerts with Yo-yo Ma, Midori, Nexus, Miró String Quartet, and the Minnesota Orchestra.

Shannon Loehrke, piano,
will
be the featured performer on the Summer Tuesday Recital Series at Christ United Methodist Church of Rochester on Tuesday, July 13, at 12:20 PM. The concert will feature works by
Granados, Ravel and Rachmaninoff.
